WE-cycle connects to transit
Bike sharing is a complement to Aspen's existing community transit options.
Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) operates the bus system throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, from Aspen to Rifle. Riding RFTA is a great way to avoid heavy summer traffic in and out of Aspen. RFTA also operates the country's first rural Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system from Aspen to Glenwood Springs, in addition to several local bus routes within each municipality. Additionally, almost all of Aspen's WE-cycle stations are within 300 ft. of a RFTA stop.
CAR-TO-GO is Aspen's car share, and a perfect solution for individuals, families or business seeking to avoid purchasing a car. CAR-TO-GO gives you access to a car when you need and no hassles when you don’t. Membership includes to access to hybrid vehicles parked at convenient locations throughout town, as well as gas, insurance, maintenance, snow removal and roadside assistance. WE-cycle passholders will receive a discounted application fee.
CommuterConnect is a commuter resource operated by the City of Aspen Transportation Department. CommuterConnect will help you find carpool partners, find a School Pool, calculate your cost and carbon savings from using alternative transportation, and gives you the chance to earn rewards and win prizes.
TOP Program, also operated by the City of Aspen Transportation Department, helps employers find a better way to work for their employees. All TOP employer services are free and include grant opportunities, emergency ride home services, networking opportunities, event opportunities, and transportation information distribution.
Aspen's Parks and Recreation Department maintains a number of paved and unpaved bike and pedestrian trails for both recreational and commuter biking for an easier, safer, and car-free ride.
