Join in the WE-cycle Wheels to Wings Challenge and ride WE-cycle to/from the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport! The first 10 people to pedal WE-cycle to/from a flight from the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport will win a WE-cycle hat and $20 stored value RFTA gift card by submitting a picture of themselves with their WE-cycle and small travel bag to info@we-cycle.org or tagging WE-cycle @ridewecycle on Instagram.

On May 6, 2024, Pitkin County Commissioner Poschman joined WE-cycle, RFTA, Pitkin County, partners and riders in inaugurating WE-cycle’s expansion of six stations to the AABC/Airport area. In his remarks he announced the WE-cycle Wheels to Wings Challenge and extolled the benefits of WE-cycle to our community.

“Since 2013, WE-cycle has demonstrated successfully that our commuters and cross-town errand runners can, and will, get out of their cars when given a more enjoyable, clean, healthy, and hassle-free option. The expansion of WE-cycle to the AABC completes an important link in the culture of convenience WE-cycle has created in the community. Now that all the hard work has been done, it appears that the obvious solution was simply to employ the greatest invention of the past 233 years, the bicycle, to address the daily hassles of crowding on our roads and lack of parking. Using WE-cycle in combination with our RFTA bus service up and down the valley makes a pleasant commute instead of the stressful, time-wasting traffic jam on Hwy 82.”

So, if you’re catching a flight and travelling light, we encourage you to give your pre/post travel legs some movement and ride WE-cycle to and from the airport!
